Making Ice Cold Lemonade From Scratch

When we were kids, lemonade out of a packet was just fine with us... actually, I can't believe some of the stuff we actually consumed as kids! You know the drink mixes that I'm talking about, but now that we are older, we want something a bit more sophisticated and that's where home-made lemonade comes into the picture. It just tastes better. We can control how much sugar we use and how much of the lemon we want to use. So have fun with this recipe, there's nothing quite like it! Here's what you will need:

1/2 to 1 cup of sugar. It can be as sweet or as tart as you like it.
1 cup of lemon juice made from honest to goodness lemons lol...
5 cups of cold water.

The first thing you are going to do is to dissolve the desired amount of sugar in a cup of water and the lemon juice. Once you have the sugar crystals all dissolved, all you have to do is stir in the rest of the water. Now test to see if you need to add anything more and then serve over ice. You are going to love it! Here's to a non-ending supply of fresh lemonade for the rest of the summer and all the fun that goes along with it!
