How To Grate Cheese Easily

This is one area that I have no trouble with surprisingly enough. My daughter who does most of the cooking when her father is out of town, constantly asks me to grate the cheese when she needs it for a particular dish. The reason... she constantly takes a chunk out of a nail. Don't ask me how she does it, unless she tries to do it quickly. Seeing that I am only grating the cheese for the meal, I supposed I can do it slower. To date, knock on wood, I have never lost a nail to the dreaded cheese grater.
